The Farm and brick farmhouse were founded almost 200 years ago (1819), and grapes have been grown on the Johnson Estate for well over a century.   The Winery is the oldest estate (or Farm) winery in New York .   The carefully cultivated European and American wine-grapes used to make our vintages are all grown within 3000 feet of the winery, so grape-growing and wine-making are perfectly integrated to produce prize-winning wines.
